For the Love of Lavender

Lavender is one of my absolute favorite blooms (hence, the name of our studio~ Lavender & Leaf Designs)! It is actually an herb in the mint family and has a wonderful scent that is said to promote calming and relaxing mood. Cynthia & Brian- Septmeber 24, 2011

Even though Cynthia and Brian's nuptials were set to take place the day after Autumn began, they weren't quite ready to give up on summer just yet. Cynthia chose navy blue, strapless dresses for her bridesmaids and we complimented their look with fun, vibrant peach and coral gerber daisies, with accents of cream for the glowing bride.The overall look gave off the feel of a spectacular summer day (along with the gorgeous weather!). They said their "I Do's" at the ever so grand Blessed Kateri Church in Lagrangeville NY and then celebrated at our favorite venue, the Links at Union Vale. Succulents Galore!

Here are some gorgeous bouquets that feature some rather interesting succulents. Succulents, with their striking forms and unusual colors, are becoming an increasingly popular design element in wedding bouquets, centerpieces and even boutonnieres.Great idea for the Eco-chic bride as they can be planted even after they have been cut for your bouquet!

Juliet & Derek's romantic, summer wedding took place at the FEAST at Round Hill in Washingtonville NY. Juliet, as nervous as she was in anticipation for this day, was absolutely beaming with happiness and excitement.
