Bridget & Brad- July 2, 2011

Bridget and Brad's fun, summer wedding was definitely a memorable one for us here at L&L. There blooms resembled their favorite Syracuse University football team with vibrant blue and orange blooms. I will never forget forget the look on Bridget's face and the happy tears that followed when I presented her bouquet to her. Nuptials took place at the Blessed Kateri Church and a night of celebration was held at the Links at Union Vale in Lagrangeville NY.

Fall Inspiration

With winter just around the corner, I am hanging onto my favorite season  for as long as I can...dreaming and finding inspiration for next years Autumn weddings. Here are some great ideas for you brides planning your fall 2012 nuptials...enjoy!

The perfect way to add a bit of elegance to your fall decor is to combine those warm autumn blooms with a silver container...so love this look!

Give your pumpkins a sophisticated sparkle with Martha Stewart's line of fine glitters. Many fun colors to choose from, have fun mixing it up!

Mini pumpkins are a fun, budget friendly idea for the escort card table. Spraying them in either gold or silver is an  easy way to bring elegance to the decor.

Lanterns and pumpkins definitely give that rustic warm feel to a chilly fall wedding.

 

 

Here is another way that pumpkins and lanterns can be combined...this would be a great look for an indoor mantle as well.

What a delicious idea for guest favors!

Branches are a fabulous option for you economical brides...very rustic and simple. Add a few blooms and even some candles for a more dramatic look.

Alyson and Pat said their vows on the grounds of the Candlewood Inn, in Brookfield CT, in front of the breathtaking view of Candlewood Lake. The soft yellows and lime green with accents of dark blue were the perfect color combination for such a beautiful summer wedding.

Fun Flower Fact

Not only are roses valued for their romantic symbolism but their blooms are also edible and have the flavors of green apples and strawberries! Here you see rose petals dipped in sugar and chocolate...definitely have to try one someday!

Erica & Ivan- June 17, 2011

Erica & Ivan were married in the garden at the Fox Hill Inn, in Brookfield CT on June 17th, 2011. Lucky for them, the rain held off just long enough to say their Ido's! This is definitely one of our favorite summer weddings, not only is Erica a friend, but the colors and flowers she chose for her wedding were spectacular! Fabulous Fall Bouquets

Although our fall weddings have come and gone for the year, I am still in fall mode! Here are some inspirational  ideas for those of you looking to plan your fall 2012 nuptials. And just a quick tip, October is one of the busiest months for weddings, so start booking your vendors now (if you haven't already) to secure your date!

This bouquet (above) has to be the most popular among brides for the fall season. Three of my six brides in October brought this photo to me as an example of what they were looking for in a bouquet. My recommendation is to find ideas online and in magazines that reflect your style and taste and we'll work together to come up with ideas to make it your own.

What a gorgeous pop of fall colors! Note: Those curly brown looking "thingies" are called fiddlehead ferns and the round yellow flowers are called Craspedia or Billy Balls.

Although many people think of Orchids as a more summer/ warm weather bloom, they are gorgeous (as you can see) in fall bouquets as well.

These Mango Calla Lilies are always a hit during the fall season. They are in fact one of the more pricier blooms, so if you are absolutely in love with these flowers but are on a budget, consider using them solely in the bridal bouquet and as the groom's boutonniere and less expensive, yet beautiful flowers for the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Fall Wedding Dress

What a gorgeous wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier for the fall! Love the splash of color from the sash. The beautiful backdrop of the fall leaves makes for a gorgeous photo.

Our First Wedding of the Year!

Jessica Bailey and Mike McGovern were married June 11, 2011 at the Beautiful Blessed Kateri Church in Lagrangeville NY, followed by a fabulous Reception at the Links at Unionvale also in Lagrangeville NY.
